Sociology

Sociology is the academic study of social behaviour, its origins, development, organization, and institutions. If I were a teacher, sociology would be a class that I would add to our school curriculum. We don't have the course of sociology and I find it to be a very interesting class. Sociology studies society in a scientific way and improves our understanding of it. Sociological knowledge is necessary for understanding and planning of society.
The class would be an elective that would meet in the time of a regular elective during the day. The students would learn basic vocabulary of behavioral science. Specifically, they would study human interaction, culture, socialization, religion, and social change among other things. The class would be an open discussion with the profession so that everyone could learn at that same pace. At the end of the course, there would be a project that epitomizes what they learned.
